Hennadii Bondarenko, Professor of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and his colleague Ivan Aryvaniuk, successfully performed in the all-Ukrainian higher education establishment competition of the Uzhgorod National University Billiards Rector’s Cup among scientific and pedagogical workers.
14 participants in 6 teams from Kyiv, Poltava, Kremenets, and Uzhhorod gathered to compete for the prizes. During the charity tournament in Uzhgorod, funds were raised for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The duo from Volyn won 2nd place in the team standings. In the individual programme, Professor Hennadii Bondarenko took 7th place, and his teammate Ivan Aryvaniuk defeated all contestants taking 1st place.
“It is neither the first time we participate in this tournament nor the first time we are its prize-winners. It is very nice that we managed to take the winning prizes, despite our respectable age,” Hennadii Bondarenko commented on his successful performance.
