Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University was awarded international certificates from the French company “Bareau Veritas” on granting the status of internal auditor of the education quality management system.
15 training participants, including deans, deputy deans and heads of structural divisions of the University, completed the course, including the three-day training “The Fundamentals of the Quality Management System According to the International Standard ISO 9001:2015”, ISO 9019:2018 and successfully passed the exams.
The Rector of Lesya University, Anatoii Tsos, underlined that the project’s implementation was necessary, so that Lesya Ukrainka University would have certified specialists to assess the quality of the higher education institution’s activities, and for the University to ensure the implementation of the ISO system and receive a certificate of compliance with international education quality standards.
“Together we have taken the first step towards this goal, we have our own specialists capable of conducting internal audit and analysis of educational activities,” Anatolii Vasyliovych said.
Besides, the Head of Lesya Ukrainka University thanked Professor Yurii Barskyi for the coordination work within the project.
“Thanks to the strategy chosen by the University's administration, we have started the procedure of applying for an international audit and obtaining an international quality certificate. This way is not fast enough. This work will be carried out by a globally renowned auditing company, and we have the first agreements with international partners on the implementation of the intentions of higher education institution”, Yurii Barskyi noted.
The project coordinator also said that the next step for the higher education institution will be to submit an application. Therefore, internal auditors who have received the appropriate certificates must collect all the necessary information about the University and invite an external auditor. Based on the results of this work, our University will be able to receive a certificate certifying the compliance with international standards of education quality.
At the end of the meeting, Anatolii Tsos together with Yuriy Barsky presented the project participants with certificates and a collective photo was taken.
