The production of trench candles was launched at the Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics. The action took place on March 25.
Students from Lesya’s University joined the volunteer work. Someone brought cans, someone brought natural wax, most donated and bought paraffin. More than 150 trench candles were made. This is our small victory.
The Rector of the University, Anatolii Tsos, also joined the work and, together with the students, tested a new method of putting cardboard in a jar for a better effect of heat transfer. The initiator of the creation of trench candles is Maryna Kibysh, a third-year student of the Inf-34O group at the Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics, who was able to organize the collection of materials and involve the student body in volunteering.
Trench candles are indispensable for our soldiers at the front, because they can provide lighting, heat a small room, and heat food.
