On November 12, 2024, the students of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University received one-time scholarships from the Supervisory Board and gratitude from Volyn Regional Council.
On the occasion of the Student's Day, Lesya’s people gathered at Volyn Regional Council with the administration of the University and the Supervisory Board and the students. The event was moderated by the Chairman of Volyn Regional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Hryhorii Nedopad: “We, as the regional council, are interested in the formation of a generation of active and ambitious young people in Volyn, because they are the ones who will replace us and continue to build the region and Ukraine after the victory.”



Rector Anatolii Tsos thanked all organisers of the event. “It is clear that the University's main mission is high-quality education. And we do everything to ensure that our students receive high-quality education. The future belongs to active and professional young people with the necessary competencies and sense of belonging. It is extremely appropriate and pleasant that such an event is taking place today,” Rector summed up.



Head of the Supervisory Board Iryna Konstankevych noted that the event was organised jointly by the Supervisory Board, Volyn Regional Council and the rectorate. “We decided to hold this meeting to have a conversation, to see the best of the best students of our University and Volyn in person, to listen to you. We know that the greatest people are here. After all, we all want our students and graduates to be successful,” Iryna Myroslavivna noted.



After the congratulation, the students of the University were awarded special scholarships from the Supervisory Board of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and letters of gratitude from Head of Regional Council. In addition, the students were introduced to the activities of Regional Council and its structural divisions and institutions.



In particular, Chairman of Standing Commission of Regional Council on Budget, Finance and Price Policy Orest Makhovskyi, Director of Regional Employment Centre Alla Kutsyn, and Head of Regional Youth Centre Yana Romaniuk delivered their presentations focused on the opportunities for the youth.
