On April 15, 2025, a significant event took place: female students of Volyn National University were solemnly awarded the scholarship certificates of the Stepan and Yevgeniya Radionov Endowment Fund.
This is a victory for both the scholarship holders themselves and for us, because it proves that Ukrainian youth is growing conscious and striving for scientific and personal development.
The Stepan and Yevgeniya Radionov Endowment Fund is a charitable initiative launched to honour the memory of the Ukrainian journalist, writer, scientist and bibliographer, Stepan Radion and his wife Yevgeniia Radion. After Mr. and Mrs. Radionov passed away, their son, Yuriy, founded a charitable foundation that annually provides scholarships to gifted students of the university.
The award ceremony was attended by the students, Dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science and National Security Yaroslav Yarosh, Dean of Faculty of Philology and Journalism Liliia Lavrynovych. Vice-Rector of the University Lyudmyla Yelisieieva was privileged to award the students, express congratulations and best wishes for the future scientific activities of the fellows.
After the award ceremony, the students had an opportunity to leave their memories by writing wishes for future fellows on a poster, which is now hanging at Department of International Relations of the University.
