From April 14 to 16, 2025, a special atmosphere was celebrated at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
A series of charitable master classes in Easter egg making took place here under the symbolic name «Victory Easter Egg». The participants of the event had the opportunity to create their own Easter egg making a charitable contribution to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The representatives of the administration and all faculties of the educational institution and the students joined the event. The artistic event was supervised by Department of Fine Arts of Faculty of Culture and Arts. The senior lecturer of the department, a member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine Halyna Vakhramieieva inspired and taught all interested the subtleties of traditional techniques.
The central symbol chosen for decorating the Easter eggs was the tree of life as one of the images of Ukrainian culture personifying the continuity of life, family memory, spiritual roots, and invincibility of the Ukrainian people.
«We draw the tree of life, because life itself is the greatest value. This symbol has always been drawn with wishes for development, revival, and expansion of the family. We need to unite around our national idea and Ukrainian life. We believe that our country will be reborn, flourishing, and happy, we will have peace and victory,» said Halyna Vakhramieieva.
«Easter is a great, beautiful holiday associated with life, family, and our country. Therefore, we must do as much charity as possible to support our soldiers and at the same time not to lose humanity, generosity, and kindness, which have always been part of the consciousness of Ukrainians,» said the initiator of the event, acting rector Anatolii Tsos.
