On January 30, 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, during which the students could receive scholarships from the member of the Supervisory Board, Viktor Korsak.

«I welcome everyone to the first meeting of the Academic Council in 2025. I am sincerely excited that we are all optimistic and working. I am convinced that our University will always improve and develop cooperation, the quality of education and cooperate with the best employers and stakeholders,» Rector Anatolii Tsos greeted everyone.

The University launched an initiative of scholarships of the chairman and members of the Supervisory Board for active students. Thus, recently, during a meeting in Regional Council, the scholarships were awarded by Head of the Supervisory Board Iryna Konstankevych to the applicants who actively participate in scientific and professional, public and volunteer activities, and student life.

«I sincerely believe that today's scholarships for the students will encourage them to develop and motivate them to take responsibility for themselves and the world around them in the future, develop and create Ukraine in Ukraine in their own unique way,» summarised Natalia Blahovirna, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Communication.

The scholarships were awarded to six applicants from different faculties and courses: second- and third-year students of Faculty of Philology and Journalism Solomiia Korolchuk and Tetyana Markopolska, third- and fourth-year students of the Faculty of Culture and Arts Marta Navrotska and Oleg Markevich, and third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine Yaroslav Andriychuk and Veronika Kabarchuk.

«God gives us some predispositions. In order for these predispositions to produce something, they must be transformed into abilities. Someone must see that the child has them. The next stage is for these abilities to transform into talents. We need work, motivation, and movement. And the next stage, the highest, is genius. For a talent to transform into a genius, incredible motivation is needed to create brilliant things that will be relevant in 100, 200 years,» – Viktor Korsak.

The students were awarded the scholarships to further motivate them to greater achievements and development of the field of their study and work. Rector Anatolii Tsos presented Viktor Korsak with the Golden Breastplate of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
