On May 15, 2025, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “How Are You?”, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University was visited by Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine and the initiator of the programme.
Olena Zelenska reviewed with interest the first volume of the 12-volume Collection of Works by Olena Pchilka compiled by leading philologists of the University, which impressed her with its scholarly thoroughness and cultural value.
Mrs. Zelenska was received by the acting rector of the University, Anatolii Tsos, as well as the scientific and pedagogical community of the psychological profile. The visit was aimed at familiarisation with the powerful educational, scientific and practical activities of the University in the field of mental health. In particular, Olena Zelenska got acquainted with the work of the educational and scientific "Centre for Mental Well-being", spoken about by its head, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Assistant Professor Nataliia Kostruba.
"If in 2021 the Volyn National University had 100 psychologist graduated, then in 2023 there were already 147, and last year as many as 182. Here they understand how much these specialists are needed by Ukraine, especially now when we are experiencing the stress of enemy invasion every day," Olena Zelenska shared her impressions.
The university conducts certified advanced training courses for practicing psychologists.

• Courses in Clinical Psychology for Specialists of Non-Medical Institutions
• Special Programmes for Assistance to Military Personnel, Children, Adolescents and Their Families
Two powerful scientific and practical centres operate on the basis of the university:
• Scientific and Methodological Centre “Mental Health”
• Educational and Scientific Center for Mental Well-Being
Within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Programme “How Are You?” The Centre for Mental Well-Being held 5 days of cooperation and over 100 educational and educational events.
The university has a full-time psychologist who provides:
• Individual and group consultations
• Psychoeducation of participants in the educational process
• Support for the adaptation of students
• Scientific support and implementation of research in the psychology of mental health
