The Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University staff guided by Rector Anatolii Tsos, made another trip to the combat zone to deliver aid to the defenders from the 100th and 14th separate mechanised brigades.

The delegation was comprised of Rector Anatolii Tsos, Head of Department of History and Culture of the Ukrainian Language Iryna Levchuk, a veteran policy specialist Andriy Lev, and a driver Vasyl Krotiuk.

The soldiers of "Steel 100" received DJI Mavic 3T (Thermal) quadcopters, FPV drones, Motorola radio stations, a Starlink modem, a generator, hygiene products, and tasty foods. This assistance was made possible owing to the funds collected during the numerous events of the Easter Charity Marathon, joined by the University community.

The necessary means for the defenders were also transferred to the 14th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great in Kharkiv region.

“We are united by close cooperation with the 14th and 100th brigades. We have repeatedly traveled to the military in the east. We provided them with the necessary assistance, had talks with them, and expressed our support, which is important,” emphasized Rector Anatolii Tsos.

With the Commander of the 100th SMBr, Colonel Ruslan Tkachuk, and with the Commander of the 14th SMBr, Lieutenant Colonel Anatolii Lysetskyi, we discussed not only the current needs of the units, but also the prospects for further cooperation, the importance of volunteering in the formation of the students’ civic consciousness.

Separately, humanitarian aid was also provided by the Chairman of the Universitys Supervisory Board, Peoples Deputy of Ukraine Iryna Konstankevych, the founder of the "Good Deed" Charity Fund Andrii Linnyk, public figure Oleksandr Kulakov and the participants of the "Enterprising Children-2025" project.

"It was important to visit our guys. It is difficult to look at the destroyed cities and villages. Our soldiers are exhausted but invincible. Therefore, the University helps and will always help our resistance forces, because we are well aware of who holds the sky above us," said veteran policy specialist Andrii Lev.

The organiser of many charitable events, Head of Department of History and Culture of the Ukrainian Language Iryna Levchuk added: “Each volunteer trip definitely helps the brigades, interaction, but at the same time it is also something that is valued much more there, at the forefront of the struggle, sincere communication and friendly support, a kind of emotional recharge, when everyone instantly forgets about fatigue and negativity. It is honour for me to know in person the commanders of the glorious brigades. We should really be proud of our fellow countrymen and women who are the real heroes of today. And at the slightest opportunity to say “thank you” personally and, of course, to work together even more actively for the Victory.”

Sincere gratitude to the University staff, students and all benefactors for their concern, active civic position and systematic volunteer activities.
