On March 28, 2025, the representatives of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Health visited Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
The Youth Council under the Ministry of Health is a youth advisory body uniting active youth for the participation in the formation and implementation of youth policy at the local, regional or national level.
The meeting was attended by acting rector Anatolii Tsos, Dean of Medical Faculty of Andrii Poruchynskyi, Student Council of Medical Faculty and members of Youth Council. One of the participants of the Youth Council is a student of our Medical Faculty Yaroslav Andriichuk.
During the event, the opportunities for cooperation in the field of medical education, challenges and needs of students, as well as ways to involve young people in the formation of state policy in the field of health care were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the issues of improving medical education, expanding opportunities for academic mobility and supporting student initiatives.
“We have very active, talented students, we try our best to support them in the implementation of all possible plans, projects and academic mobility. Our task is to create conditions for them in which they can develop, gain experience and implement their ideas, because it is the youth who are the drivers of positive changes in the society,” Anatolii Tsos summed up.
Youth councils are an important tool for involving young people in the processes of community management and development which contributes to increasing the active public attitude of the younger generation. Such meetings provide future specialists with an opportunity to join the processes of reforming the medical sector, express their proposals and directly influence its development.
