Rector of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Anatolii Tsos and the Danish journalist, Chairman of the “RE:Cover Ukraine” Organisation Board Morten Hansen signed a cooperation agreement.
The main goal is to support the sustainable development of journalism and independent media in Ukraine, in particular the regional ones. The parties also agreed to work together to jointly organise educational programmes, involve students and lecturers in media projects, public interest journalism and cross-border initiatives.
“RE:Cover Ukraine” is an independent organisation seeking to support Ukrainian journalists and media, promote investigative journalism, provide information about media relations and the state of the press in Eastern Europe, strengthen regional journalism and sustainable development of media as the basis of democratic processes in Ukraine. The university is a key partner, as it plays an important role in training future journalists, promotes ties between academia and the journalistic sphere.
