Candidate in geographical sciences, docent, the dean of international relations faculty, Sergii Fedoniuk
Sergij Fedonjuk was born in the 18th of June, in Korotyntsi village, Lokachi district, Volyn region. In 1988 finished the school N#16, c. Lutsk and entered Lutsk state pedagogical institute named after Lesya Ukrainka on the geographical faculty. He graduated in 1993 and get the teacher’s certificate of geography and biology. In 1993 he entered post-graduate study in Volyn state university named after Lesya Ukrainka, specialty 11.00.02 – economic and social geography. Since 1993 he worked in VSU as an assistant on economic and social geography department, young scientific laboratory coworker “Problems of development the regional socio-economic systems” (1996). In 1997 defended candidate thesis and get candidate scientific degree of geographical sciences, specialty – 11.00.02 – economical and social geography department, from 1998-2001 – worked as docent on international economic relationships and international information department. From 1998 to 2000 – the head of international relations department. In 2000-2022 – pro-rector deputy of educational work in VSU named after Lesya Ukrainka. In 2003 got docent certificate of international economic relations and international relations department.
Since September, 2001 till July 2002 – was on scientific probation in Maria Curie-Skłodowska (Lublin), and Warsaw Universities (Poland) in the frames of Lane Kirkland Scholarship program. During June 2002 he had manufacturing practice in Bureu European Integration in Lublin voivodeship (Poland). In June 2002 defended diploma paper “Peculiarities of formation and principles of functioning the EU inner market” in Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin). From November 2002 till May 2003 has been studied in Doctorate of Kyiv national university named after Taras Shevchenko (specialty 08.05.01 – World industry and international economic relationships, international information), from June, 2003, being a docent, worked on international economic relations and international information department, from November 2003 – worked as the head of international information department in Volyn state university. From March 2004 – the dean of international relations faculty in Volyn university. From September 2008 he is the acting pro-rector for International Affairs in VNU named after Lesya Ukrainka.
S. Fedonjuk has published more then 80 scientific works. In 2004 was awarded by honoured Diploma of Volyn state administration and in 2007 – of Ukrainian Ministry of education and science for work with talented student youth and conduction the Ukrainian competition on best students’ and postgraduate students’ scientific works in subject of Euroathlantic integration.
