The Department of International Relations (DIR), founded in 2000, is a structural unit of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.

The activities of the department are aimed at establishing and expanding international relations and developing and strengthening international cooperation and the authority of the University in the international educational and scientific space.
The main activities of the department are:
development, organization and coordination of events in the field of international cooperation of the University (conferences, seminars, trainings, congresses, symposia, cultural exchanges, summer schools, etc;)
Preparation and organization of cooperation agreements between the University and foreign partners;
support, correspondence and interaction with the relevant structural units of institutions and organizations in the field of education and science of foreign countries, with diplomatic missions of foreign countries and other international organizations, including those accredited in Ukraine;
organization, protocol support, reception of foreign delegations arriving at the University with official, working, informal (private) visits;
organization of visits of University delegations to foreign educational institutions, scientific institutions and other organizations;
development and implementation of strategic plans for the development of international cooperation of the University;
providing advisory and methodological assistance to other structural units of the University on issues within the competence of the department.
